| Overview The
incidence and prevalence of chronic heart failure (CHF) are increasing, even after
adjusting for an aging population. It is anticipated the new ACC/AHA guidelines
will again stress continued collaboration between nurse practitioners and other
healthcare professionals and cardiologists to develop strategies that address
barriers to adherence in patients with CHF. As nurse practitioners we know the
importance of our role in affecting adherence and outcomes. In this Web Workshop,
Leslie Davis, RN, MSN, CS, ANP, will discuss strategies that have been found to
improve patient adherence to pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic regimens and ultimately
slow the progression of CHF. | |
